Boiled Koi Studios
"Work hard, play hard, make neat stuff."
Welcome to Boiled Koi Studios! We're a group of artists who
decided to pool our resources and create a group studio and exhibition
space in
rural Colorado. We have approximately 2000 square feet of space,
including a "dirty studio" (for clay and woodworking) downstairs and a
"clean studio" (for drawing and a gallery space) upstairs. We
currently have five artist-members, including a woodworker, a potter, a
sculptor, a fiber artist, and even a luthier. More artists images
will be posted on this website in the coming weeks.
Many people ask where we got the name "Boiled Koi Studios". Well,
you can't see it in the picture, but there's a koi pond near our studio
building. When the koi come to the surface for feeding, they
splash and blow bubbles, making the water nearly 'boil' with their
excitement!
We love living and working up here at 9,250 feet. We spend most
of our time working hard to bring new ideas and a high level of
craftsmanship to the items we make. We spend the rest of our time
looking for ways to bring our work to you, our audience. Thank you for
